Box Score WHITTIER, Calif. -- The Marymount University men's lacrosse team fell to Whittier College on Sunday afternoon in the Golden State.
A hot start from the Poets made the difference, as the home side built a 13-8 lead at the end of the first half. MU's offense never found a consistent stride against Whittier despite 29 shots, 20 of which were on target.
Gavin Taylorson led the Saints on the offensive end with three goals. It marked the rookie's third multi-goal performance of the season. Joseph Sciortino and Paul Vey added two goals apiece, while Hunter Ralston tallied one goal and two assists to round out the Blue and White's multi-point scorers.
Troy Tangolics and Cameron Glass paced Marymount with three ground balls apiece. In goal, Brandon Hall played the full 60:00 and registered 15 saves.
Marymount remains on the West Coast for its next tilt on Tuesday, March 8, when it plays Cornell College at Whittier's Memorial Stadium at 4:00 p.m. EST.
