ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount men's lacrosse junior Matthew Ebert scored three goals, including two in the second half, while freshman Jonah Mackiewicz scored two as the Saints concluded their 2018 season with a 20-6 loss to No. 2 York (Pa.) on Tuesday at Long Bridge Park.

Marymount (3-14, 1-7 CAC) saw the careers of seven seniors come to an end on Tuesday, including Nathan Beard who finished his career with 127 points, tying him for eighth in program history with Kevin Quinn who scored 127 from 1994-97. Beard also ranks 14th in program history with 64 goals and second with 63 assists.

Beard finished with one assist against the Spartans (16-1, 8-0 CAC).

York scored the game's first goal before Ebert scored his first goal with 8:20 remaining in the first quarter to tie the game at 1-1.

The Spartans closed the quarter on a 4-0 run to take a 5-1 lead before extending their lead to five after the scoring the first goal of the second quarter.

The Saints scored back-to-back just 55 seconds apart with goals from senior Brent Sulhoff and Mackiewicz. Junior Sean Friedman picked up his team-leading 20th assist on Sulhoff's goal, extending his point streak to seven games.

York used another 4-0 run to take a 10-3 lead before Mackiewicz netted his second goal of the game with 19 seconds left.

However, the Spartans scored another goal with under 10 seconds remaining to take an 11-4 halftime lead. York scored with just three seconds remaining in the first quarter and only six seconds to play in the second.

Ebert scored both of the Saints' second-half goals as they were outscored 9-2.

Marymount finished the game without a penalty while scoring the game's only extra-man goal with 5:12 left in the fourth when Ebert scored off a pass from Beard.

Joining Sulhoff and Beard in making their final appearances for the Saints were John Williamson, Dylan Watkins, Zach Napolitano, Brendan Wickline and Daniel Stroup.
