Box Score ARLINGTON, Va. – A pair of five-goal outings by juniors Bridgette Stacom and Jessica Crew paced a Marymount women's lacrosse throttling over Capital Athletic Conference foe Frostburg State University on Saturday afternoon at Long Bridge Park, as the Saints used a 10-goal first half to take a 17-6 victory on Senior Day.
Stacom and Crew both concluded the day with game highs in goals with five each, while both added an assist to each other.
They were not alone in the scoring effort, with senior Kellen Cannon firing off a career- and game-high off seven points off four goals and three assists on Senior Day.
Additionally, senior Abby Wescott and sophomores Madison Davis and Eliana Cassel chipped in a goal apiece.
Although the game was heavy on the offensive end for the Saints (8-3, 2-0 CAC), much of the success rode off the draw control where Stacom, Cannon and senior Liah Agouras flourished with 20-of-24. Stacom finished with a career-high 11 draws, while Cannon and Agouras added seven and two, respectively. Stacom's 11 for the day moves her to 126 for her career, jumping former Saints Monica Tarantino and into the eighth spot in program history. Her 53 so far this season places her fifth in program history in a single season.
Stacom also came through with a team-high three caused turnovers for the day, while freshman Caroline Wolford added two.
In the cage, junior Holly Reik earned her seventh win of the season, making seven saves.
The Saints continue league play at home on Wednesday, April 4, hosting St. Mary's College of Maryland at Long Bridge Park. Start time is set for 4 p.m.
