PITTSBURGH, Pa — Marymount put together a dominant offensive performance on Friday afternoon, rolling past Chatham, 17-10, on the road in Pittsburgh. Behind a balanced scoring attack and early control of the pace, the Saints improved to 5-6 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Marymount wasted no time setting the tone, jumping out to a 4-2 lead in the opening quarter behind a hat trick from Natalia Ortiz. The Saints continued to press in the second, erupting for six goals to take a commanding 10-5 lead into halftime.
The momentum carried into the third quarter as Marymount added four more goals, stretching the advantage to eight. Chatham attempted to respond in the final frame, but the Saints matched each push, closing out the game with three fourth-quarter goals, including a buzzer-beater from Mackenzie Morrissette to seal the 17-10 victory.
