WLAX: Saints Close Non-Conference Slate with Loss to Stockton

ARLINGTON, Va. — Marymount women's lacrosse wrapped up non-conference play on Wednesday afternoon, falling to Stockton, 8-6, at Long Bridge Park. Despite a strong fourth-quarter push, the Saints were unable to overcome a second-quarter surge from the Ospreys.

NOTABLE

  • Tess Valentino paced the Saints offensively with a standout performance, recording four goals and one assist for five total points.
  • Kaylee Heath and Adrina Cantarelli each found the back of the net, both capitalizing on free-position opportunities.
  • Jillian Blair, Natalia Ortiz, and Brooke Bretney each dished out assists to contribute to the attack.
  • Ava Vautour turned in a strong effort in goal, making 15 saves to keep Marymount within reach throughout the contest.
  • The Saints forced 12 turnovers and collected 17 ground balls, showing consistent defensive pressure.
