ARLINGTON, Va. – A trio of hat tricks and points by 13 different Saints guided the Marymount (Va.) University men's lacrosse team to an 18-10 decision over Wesley College on Wednesday night to remain in the playoff hunt. 

Juniors Nathan Beard, Dylan Watkins and Brent Sulhoff all registered three-goal games, while Beard and junior John Williamson posted game-high five points. 

The Saints took a commanding 8-1 advantage through the first quarter and never looked back. Williamson started the scoring for the Saints, while senior defensive midfielder Andrew Lee capped off the eight-goal period with his first collegiate goal. 

In the second period, the Saints outscored the Wolverines once again, seeing goals by senior Shoshone Smith, freshman Michael Posey and Sulhoff to give MU an 11-3 lead at the half. 

The second half of the game was quite equal, as both teams score seven goals apiece. But the Saints' first-half lead was too much for Wesley to overcome, as Marymount walked away with the 18-10 victory to conclude the 2017 home campaign. 

Sophomore Grey Clarkson earned the win in the net, making seven saves in his 41:03 of play. 

At the faceoff, senior Nick Hohman and sophomore Christian Lutz split time, each winning eight. 

The Saints head on the road to round out the regular season on Saturday, April 15, traveling to the University of Mary Washington for the final league matchup. First faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
