ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Atlantic East Conference announced its weekly awards for the fall season on Monday afternoon, with Marymount Men's Soccer's Adam Elonai earning Defensive Player of the Week honors following a shutout performance against Hood College.

Elonai anchored the Saints' defense in a commanding 3-0 victory over Hood College on Wednesday, helping Marymount secure its second shutout of the season.

The goalkeeper recorded three saves in the clean-sheet performance, keeping Hood off the scoreboard while the Saints' offense found the back of the net three times. Elonai's efforts between the posts helped Marymount close out the week with a convincing victory and earned him his first Atlantic East weekly honor of the season.
