ARLINGTON, Va. — Marymount defeated Hood 3-0 on Wednesday. The Saints withstood eight Hood attacking actions from 73:07 to 82:22 without conceding, part of a shutout in which Hood put three shots on goal.

Marymount opened the first half with three shots in the opening 2:58, then Brian Alegria scored at 11:23 to put the Saints ahead 1-0. The Saints continued to create chances, including four shots between 28:20 and 34:46 with Joaquin Garcia and Christopher Nascimento forcing saves. MU took the 1-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Saints extended their advantage twice, with Erick Shoetter-Rojas scoring from Nour Serrou's assist at 47:40 and Christopher Nascimento adding another from Christopher Argueta at 75:02 to make it 3-0. Adam Elonai made three saves in the half, including stops in the 80th and 89th minutes as Hood continued to create chances. Marymount closed out the 3-0 final.

Up next, the Saints travel to Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, to face Juniata College on Saturday, Sept. 19. Kickoff is set for 12 a.m. at Henry H. and Joanie R. Gibbel Stadium.
