The Saints had the first sustained attacking stretch of the first half, getting shots from Christopher Nascimento, Brian Alegria, Erick Shoetter-Rojas and Nour Serrou between 3:55 and 8:17 while the score remained 0-0. Juniata went ahead 1-0 at 12:57 on Nick Mattioni's goal from Jase Colino's assist. The Saints added a corner and a blocked Alex Rendon Benitez shot shortly after, then put Ricardo Urrutia's 38:49 attempt on goal before going into halftime down 1-0.

Marymount kept Juniata scoreless in the second half but could not find an equalizer in a 1-0 loss. Adam Elonai made saves in the 63rd and 66th minutes as MU withstood a Juniata push, and the Saints answered with late pressure that included three corner kicks from 79:43 to 80:34. Micah Vogler and Nascimento each put shots on goal in that stretch, but Maxwell Mattioni saved both attempts.
