LANCASTER, Va. -- Marymount softball was selected in the second spot in this year's version of the Atlantic East Coaches Preseason Poll.

The Saints racked up 19 total votes alongside a first-place vote in the poll, which is voted on by the league's coaches. Marywood was named the preseason favorite with 22 total votes, three first-place votes. Gwynedd Mercy and Centenary each picked up a first-place vote in the poll.

The Saints are coming off of a 2024 where they finished the year with a 20-22-1 overall record, including a 9-3 mark in conference action.

They hosted a pod in the opening round of the AEC Tournament after finishing second in the regular season standings.
