RALEIGH, NC. -- Marymount University women's softball team competed against two teams this Sunday in North Carolina with one win and one loss.
MARYMOUNT 8 RANDOLPH COLLEGE 7
- Kaylee Atkins had the strongest offensive performance, going 4-for-5 with a double and 4 RBIs, driving in more runs than any player in the game.
Haylee Carpenter went 2-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI, helping set the tone at the top of the lineup.
- Samantha Richtol finished 3-for-5 with 1 RBI, contributing multiple key hits in Marymount's 15-hit effort.Â
- Grace Gilbert recorded 2 hits in 4 at-bats and drew a walk, reaching base three times during the game.
- Valeria Gutierrez De Oliveira went 2-for-4 with 1 run scored, adding to the Saints offensive production.
- Gracie Himmelman scored 2 runs, went 1-for-3, and drove in 1 RBI while also being hit by a pitch twice.
- Mady Archer finished 1-for-4 with 1 run scored, contributing to the offensive depth in the lineup.
- Tara Corcoran scored 1 run for Marymount while playing third base.
- Emma McCormack earned the win, pitching 4.1 innings, allowing 6 runs (4 earned) with 2 strikeouts.
- Morgan Maslock picked up the save, throwing 2.2 innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 5 batters in a strong relief outing

- Haylee Carpenter led Marymount at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a walk, reaching base twice while playing second base and adding 4 putouts defensively.
- Gracie Himmelman finished 1-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout, collecting one of Marymount's three hits and getting on base twice from the leadoff area of the lineup.Â
- Samantha Richtol recorded 1-for-3 at the plate, adding Marymount's third hit, but also grounded into a double play during the game.
- Tara Corcoran finished 0-for-2 at the plate but was active defensively with 4 assists and 2 putouts at shortstop, though she also committed one error.
- Bailey Demusz started in the circle and threw 5.2 innings, allowing 7 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 2 batters.Â
- Morgan Maslock pitched the final 1.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 5 runs in relief.
