Box Score ARLINGTON, Va. – In its final home game of the regular season, the Marymount women's lacrosse team throttled its way to its third Capital Athletic Conference victory, topping Wesley College, 17-3, at Long Bridge Park on Wednesday evening.
Four different Saints put up at least a hat trick of goals in the game, headed by five finishes from junior Jessica Crew. Adding four each were senior Abby Wescott and junior Bridgette Stacom, while Wescott finished with three assists for a game-high seven points and Stacom sent out one for a five-point game. Senior Kellen Cannon also had a hat trick of goals, and junior Kelly Campbell added the final finish of the 17.
The four Saints with multiple-goal days continue to solidify their marks in program history. Crew now sits with 145 in her three-year career, just 16 goals shy of the program record held by SpringAnne Hatfield. Wescott, with 119 goals, is two away from entering the top five. Stacom jumped current Director of Athletics Jamie Reynolds' career mark in goal, moving into 14th with 80 goals. And, Cannon's three goals move her in 18th with 71.
On the defensive end, the Saints caused five turnovers in the game led by senior Liah Agouras with a game-high two.
Junior Holly Reik earned the win in the net, making seven saves in the first half. Sophomore Meagan Gagnon took over duties for the second half, making four saves on five shots.
At the draw, Stacom and Agouras picked up a majority with seven and six, respectively.
With three games left in league play, the Saints sit in fifth place with a 3-2 CAC record.
Marymount heads on the road for the final three games, traveling to No. 1 Salisbury University on Wednesday, April 18 for a 4 p.m., start.
