GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. — Marymount women's lacrosse closed out the regular season in dominant fashion on Wednesday afternoon, rolling past Gwynedd Mercy, 23–4. The Saints controlled the game from start to finish, improving to 9-7 overall and 3-2 in Atlantic East play heading into the postseason. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
Marymount wasted no time setting the tone, opening the game on an 8-1 run in the first quarter behind efficient ball movement and relentless pressure on both ends. The Saints continued to build separation in the second, adding six more goals to take a commanding 14-2 lead into halftime.

Out of the break, Marymount never let up. The offense stayed balanced while the defense limited Gwynedd Mercy's opportunities, holding the Griffins to just two second-half goals. A steady scoring pace through the third and fourth quarters allowed the Saints to cruise to the 23-4 final, closing the regular season with authority.

• Jillian Blair led all scorers with six goals, adding four ground balls and two caused turnovers
• Tess Valentino tallied five goals and two assists for a seven-point outing
• Mackenzie Morrissette dominated with four goals and five assists (nine points)
• Kaylee Heath finished with three goals, two assists, 10 draw controls, and three caused turnovers
• Natalia Ortiz contributed one goal and two assists with strong two-way play
• Additional goal scorers included Brooke Bretney, Adrina Cantarelli, Courtnee Strickland, and Carmella Garcia
• Marymount outshot Gwynedd Mercy 38-10 and held a 21-10 advantage in ground balls
• Ava Vautour earned the win in goal with three saves
• The Saints forced 23 turnovers while going 14-for-15 on clears

Marymount turns its attention to the postseason, heading on the road for the Atlantic East Conference First Round on Saturday at Neumann University. Game time is to be announced.
