ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount women's volleyball has been selected to win the Atlantic East Conference Championship for the fifth consecutive season, according to the conference's preseason coaches' poll.

The Saints earned 25 points and five first-place votes to lead the poll. Immaculata finished second with 20 points and the remaining first-place vote, while Centenary and Gwynedd Mercy tied for third. Saint Elizabeth and Pratt rounded out the poll in fifth and sixth, respectively.

Marymount finished the 2025 season with a 17-17 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in conference play. The Saints dropped just one set throughout the AEC regular season.

Marymount returns 2025 AEC Player of the Year Ava Humphries, who averaged 4.73 digs per set last season. Hailey LaBonte, the 2025 AEC Rookie of the Year, also returns after leading the Saints with 302 kills, averaging 2.75 per set.

Sabrina Schoeberlein provides another offensive threat for the Saints after averaging 2.41 kills per set in 2025. AEC Second Team All-Conference selection Elizabeth Stackpole also returns after averaging 0.51 blocks per set last season.

The Saints open the 2026 season at the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic next weekend, where they will face four opponents. Marymount will make its home debut Saturday, Sept. 12, when it hosts Shenandoah and Ramapo.
