ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount University baseball star senior Quincy Via etched his name into program history Thursday night, earning Second Team All-American honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

Via becomes the first player in Marymount baseball history to receive All-American recognition, capping off a sensational senior campaign that rewrote the program record book and elevated the Saints onto the national stage.

The dynamic outfielder, who started all 46 games this season, piled up postseason honors along the way. In addition to his All-American nod, Via earned First Team All-Region recognition from both the ABCA and D3baseball.com, while also taking home Atlantic East Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors.

At the plate, the Springfield, Virginia native was electric from start to finish, batting .422 while slugging .578. He racked up 15 doubles, two triples, and three home runs, crossing the plate 62 times and driving in 33 RBI.

But it was his game-breaking speed that separated him from the pack. Reaching base at a remarkable .505 clip, Via swiped 62 bases in 68 attempts — the highest stolen-base total in the nation. Already cemented as the program's all-time leader in both career and single-season stolen bases, he also ranks among Marymount's top performers in multiple offensive categories.

Beyond the individual accolades, Via played a pivotal role in one of the most successful eras in Saints baseball history, helping guide Marymount to back-to-back Atlantic East Conference championships and consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
