HADDONFIELD, N.J. — Marymount Athletics continued its strong spring campaign, as Anthony Farmakides and Liam Progulske earned Atlantic East Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week recognition, while James Elko was named Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week. The trio turned in standout performances for the Saints, delivering big-time production at the plate, on the mound, and on the attacking end.
Anthony Farmakides – Baseball Player of the Week
Anthony Farmakides put together a big week at the dish, leading the Saints' offense with a .467 batting average and a .733 slugging percentage across four games.
The graduate student consistently delivered in key moments, blasting a home run and a double while driving in 10 total runs on the week. Farmakides provided a steady spark in the lineup, combining power and timely hitting to help fuel Marymount's offensive production.
Liam Progulske – Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Liam Progulske turned in a dominant outing on the mound for the Saints, earning the win over North Central (Minn.) during Marymount's Florida trip.
The right-hander was nearly untouchable across 6.0 shutout innings, allowing just one hit while racking up nine strikeouts. Progulske controlled the game from the first pitch, keeping hitters off balance and delivering one of the Saints' top pitching performances of the week.
James Elko – Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
James Elko paced the Saints' attack with a monster offensive week, piling up 12 total points on eight goals and four assists.
The graduate student shot .444 from the field and made his presence felt all over the offensive end, serving as both a finisher and facilitator for Marymount. In addition to his scoring output, Elko added four ground balls and a caused turnover to round out an impactful all-around performance.
