TYSONS, Va. -- With a split against the Mighty Macs on Saturday to finish off their three-game series, Marymount baseball took the series 2-1 in early Atlantic East Conference action.
The Saints improve their overall record to 10-6 on the season, now 2-1 in conference play.

The Saints faced a tough challenge as Immaculata quickly took charge. In the top of the first, Immaculata's Jt Luther tripled down the left-field line, driving in two runs. Marymount answered with Via reaching first on an error and scoring on another error, finishing the inning at 2-1, Immaculata's favor.
Immaculata extended their lead in the third inning. Robert Woodward and Danny Nocito each hit doubles, with Nocito's bringing Woodward home. A single from Nick Turnage furthered their lead, making it a 4-1 game after three innings.
Immaculata widened the gap in the fourth inning with Woodward's two-RBI double, followed by another RBI double from Nocito, pushing the score to 7-1.
The seventh inning saw some action from the Saints. Via was hit by a pitch, and Woodring tripled down the right-field line, driving Via in.
Anthony Farmakides added a sacrifice fly to score Woodring, closing the gap to 10-3. However, Immaculata held their ground, sealing the game with a 10-3 win.

The Saints jumped ahead in the second inning when Swekosky singled, swiped second, and Howie along with Via worked walks to bring in two runs, putting the Saints up 2–0.
In the fifth, Via drew a walk and later crossed the plate on a hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded. Sadler added an RBI walk, and Kern chipped in with a sacrifice fly, pushing the lead to 5–2.
Marymount tacked on another in the sixth. Via singled, advanced on an errant throw, and scored on Carbonell's RBI single, making it 6–2.
The eighth inning saw Via hammer a triple to center and score on Farmakides' RBI single, cementing the lead at 7–2.
The Saints kept Immaculata off the board in the final three innings to seal the victory.

- Marymount will remain at home this Wednesday, hosting St. Mary's (Md.) in a rescheduled game from earlier this season.
