TYSON'S, Va. -- Marymount baseball took on St. Mary's College of Maryland on Wednesday evening, taking the contest by a lopsided score of 22-6.
The win improves Marymount's overall record to 11-6 on the season.Â

The Saints set the tone early, jumping to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Woodring walked and stole second, and Schick brought him home with an RBI double. Sadler added to the excitement with a two-run homer.
After St. Mary's rallied with four runs in the second, the Saints answered back fiercely. Carbonell doubled, and Via's bunt single put runners on the corners. Woodring's double, followed by RBI from Farmakides and Swekosky, plus Sadler's triple and a wild pitch, pushed the lead to 9-4.
Marymount kept the momentum with two more runs in the third. Farmakides singled to score Woodring, and Schick scampered home on a throwing error, making it 11-5.
The fourth inning saw the Saints pour on five more runs. Ellenburg doubled and scored on an error, Schick hit a two-RBI double, and Swekosky capped it with an RBI double, pushing the lead to 16-5.
In the fifth, Carbonell's triple brought Ellenburg home, and Woodring's sacrifice fly added another. Swekosky and Sadler tacked on more RBI, extending the advantage to 21-6.
The final touch came in the sixth when McMahon doubled and scored on Shabosky's sacrifice fly, sealing the 22-6 victory for Marymount.
