HADDONFIELD, N.J. — The Saints put together an award-winning week across multiple programs, as the Marymount men's lacrosse team swept the Atlantic East weekly honors and graduate student Chandler Eddleton earned recognition on the women's basketball side.
Santino Rossitto - Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Junior attacker Santino Rossitto delivered a statement performance to propel Marymount to its first win of the season, earning Atlantic East Player of the Week honors.
Rossitto put on an offensive clinic in the Saints' dominant victory over Methodist, pouring in five goals and adding an assist for a six-point afternoon. His finishing ability and command of the attack helped Marymount control the tempo from start to finish.
Over the course of the week, Rossitto totaled seven points while making his presence felt across the field, adding two caused turnovers and four ground balls to showcase his all-around impact on both ends.
Winston Horshaw II - Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Sophomore faceoff specialist Winston Horshaw II turned in a dominant performance to open his campaign, playing a pivotal role in Marymount's success at the X and earning Atlantic East Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Serving as the Saints' primary faceoff specialist, Horshaw went an impressive 28-for-34 across two contests, posting a remarkable .824 win percentage. The Harrisburg, Pa. native also collected 23 ground balls, consistently giving Marymount extra possessions and setting the tone in transition.
Horshaw's efforts were instrumental in sustaining offensive pressure during the Saints' 14-5 dominant victory over Methodist on Sunday, helping Marymount control the pace of play from start to finish.
Chandler Eddleton - Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Graduate student Chandler Eddleton led the Saints with an outstanding week, averaging 18.0 points per game while shooting an efficient 56% from the floor.
This past week, Eddleton reached a historic milestone, surpassing 1,500 career points to move into third place all-time in the Marymount women's basketball record books, a testament to her consistency and scoring prowess throughout her career.
Adding 24 total rebounds, the graduate student also recorded six steals and a block, proving to be an all-around force on both ends of the court. This is her second award of the season.
