Carfang, Taylorson Earn Major Awards; Men's Lacrosse Places Seven on All-Conference Teams

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Atlantic East Conference announced their men's lacrosse Major Awards and All-Conference Teams Tuesday morning, highlighting seven Saints in the postseason accolades.

Spencer Carfang and Gavin Taylorson each brought home Major Awards, with five other earning spots on the All-Conference Teams.

Spencer Carfang - Co-Defensive Player of the Year - First Team All-Conference

Carfang was a standout for the Saints on the defensive end of the field in 2025.

The former Rookie of the Year caused 23 turnovers and picked up 36 ground balls across the entirety of the season for the Saints, with seven of each statistic coming in conference action.

Also earning a spot on the First Team, the sophomore started in all 17 games for the Saints as he continues to be a steady force in the Marymount game plan.

This is the first All-Conference selection for the sophomore. 

Gavin Taylorson - Elite 20 Award - Second Team All-Conference

Taylorson finished his career at Marymount on a high point, earning the Elite 20 Award that is given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA on the Championship Site.

On top of the academic accolade, Taylorson was a force in the Marymount offense throughout the season to earn Second Team All-Conference. Finishing the season with 60 total points on 36 goals and 24 assists, he had 26 points in conference action on 15 goals and 11 assists.

He finishes his illustrious career with 224 points across his four years with 143 goals and 81 assists. He stands second all-time in career points, goals, and assists in the Marymount record book.

The All-Conference honor is the second of Taylorson's career.

Bryan Maguire - First Team All-Conference

Maguire grabbed First Team honors after having a year filled with history.

Securing 90 total points, the most in his career for a season, with 41 goals and 49 assists, the senior left his mark in his final run. 

Earlier in the season, he broke the single game points and assists against Manhattanville.

This is the first All-Conference selection for Maguire.

Ian Fructuoso - First Team All-Conference

Fructuoso posted 47 points on 38 goals and nine assists across the year for the Saints, earning First Team honors.

In conference action, he had 15 goals and added three assists for 18 total points. 

The junior added 40 ground balls and four caused turnovers to his credit throughout the course of the season.

Ryan Casagrande - First Team All-Conference

Starting all 17 games for the Saints in 2025, Casagrande picked up First Team honors after another strong turn on defense.

Picking up 31 ground balls and causing 19 turnovers, the junior caused two turnovers and picked up five ground balls in AEC action.

This marks the first All-Conference selection for Casagrande.

Creek Gausman - First Team All-Conference

Gausman picked up 22 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers across the season for the Saints to earn First Team All-Conference.

In conference play, he caused three turnovers while picking up five ground balls, notching a goal along the way.

This is the first All-Conference honor for Gausman's career.

Howard Otto - Second Team All-Conference

Otto, in his first season as a Saint, picked up Second Team laurels after a strong season on the field.

Causing 12 turnovers and picking up 25 total ground balls throughout the year, the first-year picked up six ground balls and caused four turnovers in AEC play.

This is the first All-Conference selection for Otto's career.
