ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount men's lacrosse have advanced to their fourth-straight Atlantic East Championship after taking down Marywood at home in the AEC Semifinals on Saturday afternoon, 12-4.
The Saints will head to Immaculata, looking to secure their first-ever Atlantic East title.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bryan Maguire netted a pair to open up the day, quickly followed by Robert Kirkland IV putting one in to take a quick 3-0 lead.
- After two Marywood goals, Santino Rossitto and Ian Fructuoso answered with their own to hold onto the three goal lead.
- The Pacers scored one lone goal in the second, sending the game into the half with Marymount up 5-3.
- Evan Mata, Mason Vandawater, and Rossitto each scored to open up the third to extend the Saints lead.
- Marywood mustered one final goal, but the Saints shut them down in the fourth to claim the win and send them to the Championship.
- Maguire led the way with five points on three goals and two assists.
- Fructuoso ended the day with three goals.
- Grant Gallaway caused three turnovers and picked up a trio of ground balls.
- Matthew Mulkins caused two turnovers and picked up a ground ball.
- Cameron Glass went 8-12 from the face off with six ground balls.
- Matthew Davis earned the win in the goal with 12 saves, allowing just four goals.
