Box Score TYSONS, Va. -- Marymount baseball faced off against
Salisbury University tonight at Capital One Park, but was unable to close the game out with a win. The final score was 6-4 in favor of the Seagulls.
This loss is logged as Marymount's third home loss and puts their overall record to 10-9.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints opened up with a strong first inning, giving Salisbury two strike outs and an outed ground ball.
- Bobby Leitzel opened up the first inning walking to first base.
- This was followed by a double play from Jack McCarthy, which allowed Bobby Leitzel to advance to third.
- Andrew Schaeb continued the Saints flow in the first inning, with a single advancing McCarthy to third and scoring Leitzel.
- McCarthy stole home to close out the first inning, which gave the Saints a 2-0 lead.
- The Saints saw the scoreboard again at the bottom of the fourth.
- Jordan Dickson walked to first base and advanced to second following a walk by Quincy Via.
- Bobby Leitzel singled, allowing Via to advance to second andDickson to score.
- Marymount closed out the bottom of the fourth in the lead, 3-1.
- After five innings and five Salisbury runs later, the Saints stepped up to the plate at the bottom of the ninth, behind 6-3.
- Via singled, and advanced to second after Leitzel was hit by a pitch.
- After advancing to third, Quincy Via was able to secure Marymount's final run after a single from McCarthy.

- The Saints will look to bounce back in their next game against Shenandoah University.
