MVB: Coach Liberto Releases 2026 Season

ARLINGTON, Va. – Marymount men's volleyball head coach Dan Liberto announced his 2026 schedule this Monday afternoon, highlighting a season featuring nine home games and 27 total events. 
 
The Saints begin the season in the tropical destination of St. La'ie, Hawaii. The team will compete against Emmanuel College (Mass.) for their season opener in the Cal Lu'ah Invitational, starting on January 10th at 2:00 PM. Directly after Emmanuel, the Saints will play against California Lutheran University at 5:00 PM. Staying in Hawaii, the team will travel to Honolulu in their final match of the Cal Lu-ah Invitational, with a face off against Westminster College (MO) on January 11th. 
 
After enjoying the islands, the team sees their next action in Lancaster, Pennsylvania against Lancaster Bible College on January 15th. The Saints stay on the road for the next four matches. The team will be facing off against Stevenson on January 22nd in Owings Mills, Maryland followed by a three-game competition in Ashland, Virginia. In Ashland, they will start off by facing Randolph-Macon College on January 30th, followed by two back-to-back competitions on January 31st. On the 31st, the Saints will see action against Regent University at 3:00 PM and Bridgewater College at 5:00 PM.

After eight games on the road, the Saints return home to play in the Converse Family Fieldhouse. They stay home for five consecutive games, with their home game streak starting with a match against Stevenson on February 3rd at 7:00 PM. Their next home matches are against University of Lynchburg (February 6th, 6:00 PM), Virginia Wesleyan University (February 7th, 12:00 PM), Eastern University (February 7th, 4:00 PM), Hood College (February 10th, 6:00 PM).

After their home streak, the Saints hit the road on Valentines Day, traveling to Huntington, Pennsylvania for their first CVC match against Juniata at 1:00 PM. This match is directly followed by a face-off against Cairn University at 3:30 PM. To end their February matches, the Saints stay close to home for a Washington, DC matchup against Gallaudet University on February 25th. 

The Saints start off March with a home game against Randolph-Macon College on Tuesday, March 3rd, with the first serve at 6:00 PM. Their time at home does not last long, as this game is followed by an away game against Eastern Mennonite (at 3:00 PM)and Roanoke College (at 5:00 PM) on March 7th in Harrisonburg, Virginia. 

This is followed by three CVC matches in a row, starting off with Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on March 11th. The team's next CVC match is exactly one week later against Southern Virginia on March 18th, with this game taking place at home. The CVC streak continues with a matchup against Drew University on March 21st, with this game taking place in Madison, New Jersey. Their CVC game streak is broken temporarily by a game at Shenandoah University on March 24th, but the streak picks back up on March 28th when the team is back home playing Kean University. The team stays home for their next game, another CVC matchup against Rutgers-Newark no March 29th. 

April will showcase the Saints' last CVC game of the season with an away face-off against Elizabethtown College on April 1st. The Saints regular season closes out on the road on April 4th with a matchup against Messiah University at 2:00 PM. 

After closing out the regular season with their final conference game against Messiah, the CVC Championships are scheduled to begin April 7th.
