Lexington, Va. -- Marymount men's volleyball closed out their 2024-25 season in the semifinal championship round, taking a loss against Southern Virginia University.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Marymount's team leader in kills was Esteban Jauregui, who accounted for eight kills for the Saints.
• Ethan Li secured the Saints only ace of the match and led the Saints with four digs.
• Mason Moore and Seth Richards dominated at the net, with both claiming four blocks.
• Diego Pena was crucial to the match with a total of 12 assists. 
• The Saints fell short in all three sets, with set one closing out 25-17 in favor of the opposing team.
• Etahn Li opened up set two with a kill, giving Marymount the lead.
• The lead was lost, and the Saints trailed 19-25 by the end of set two.
• The the third and final set, the Saints had a similar outcome to the first two sets.
• After 16 points in set three, the Saint's were unable to keep up with SVU's 25.
