ARLINGTON, Va. – Marymount men's lacrosse fought off a fourth-quarter surge by Immaculata on Saturday afternoon at Long Bridge Park to pick up an important conference victory 14-11 on Senior Day and Alumni Day.

NOTABLE

• On Senior Day, Charlie Wittich led Marymount with four goals and added an assist.
• In just his second game this season, Jack Wiliams tied for his career-high with six assists.
• Dylan Staley won 22 of 26 faceoffs.
• As a team, Marymount fired off 53 shots compared to 33 for Immaculata.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The teams traded goals through the first quarter with Marymount holding a slight 4-3 lead after 15 minutes of play.
• The Saints defense locked in during the second quarter and held the Macs to just one goal as Marymount went into halftime ahead, 8-4.
• In the third quarter, Marymount twice stretched its lead to six goals, including a 12-6 advantage after Troy Tangolics scored with 3:05 left in the frame.
• Immaculata didn't go away easily, roaring back with five straight goals to cut the deficit to 12-11 with 8:12 to go.
• After a Saints timeout, MU responded with two goals to clinch a 14-11 victory.

UP NEXT

• Marymount will close the regular season with a road game against Gwynedd-Mercy on Wednesday, April 27 at 4 PM.
• With the win, Marymount has clinched the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic East Tournament.
