ARLINGTON, Va. -- The No. 11-nationally ranked Marymount University rolled to its fifth consecutive win on Friday night with a 3-0 sweep of Eastern Mennonite University. 

With the win, the Saints moved to 1-1 in Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) action. 

MU cruised to its 15th win of the campaign with scores of 25-16, 25-17, and 25-18. The Saints flustered the Royals at the net throughout the tilt with seven blocks, which resulted in a .000 attack percentage for the visitors. Marymount also ended the match with a 19-15 advantage in digs. 

On top of the Saints' solid defensive performance, they tossed up eight service aces to keep Eastern Mennonite at bay. Rookie Nickolas Blose led the charge at the service line with three aces. Hayden Kerekes added two aces, while Raymond Tarasi, Luke Pogue, and Will Wright all added one apiece. 

Marymount's offense pieced together another solid outing with a .279 team attack percentage. Wright and Kerekes led the way for the Saints with seven and five kills, respectively. Kerekes swung at a team-best .714 clip and added a pair of block assists. Grayson Andrews and Joshua Firman tied for the team lead with four digs. Andrews registered 20 assists as he orchestrated the Blue and White's attack. 

The Saints continue CVC play on Friday, February 25, when they hit the road to battle Elizabethtown College at 6:00 p.m.
