ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount men's volleyball standout first-year,
Brady Wiggers, garnered American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Newcomer of the Year and All-Region, announced by the organization Monday afternoon.
The accolade comes off the heels of his Continental Volleyball Conference Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection, marking a historic year for the rightside hitter.
Across the season, Wiggers ended the year with 315 total kills, averaging 3.39 per set, while adding 38.0 total blocks and 99 digs. He completed the season with 373.5 points, averaging 4.02 per set.
Against nationally-recognized opponents, Wiggers shined, putting up 4.42 points pet set on 3.81 kills per set. He hit at a .329 clip against the touted programs, and powered 118 total kills.
