Despite the Saints taking a early lead in the second set, 13-10, Kean was able to come back to take the advantage with a 9-3 run, before going on to tie the match with a 25-22 win.
Kean, again, jumped out to an early lead to start the third, 8-5, and grew the edge to 13-10. However, two-straight kills from Safley, and a kill, each, from sophomores Miles Olson and Ervin Harrell gained a 14-13 lead for Marymount.
The Cougars came back with another run and held a late, 22-19 advantage, but six-straight points from the Saints regained the match lead. Perkins and Safley, each, tallied two kills, before senior Joseph Zanelotti capped the win with a kill.
Marymount took early control in the fourth set, as three kills from Harrell lead a 14-7 opening run.
The Cougars would not go down easy, bring the score back to 15-13, but two-more kills from Safley regained a five-point lead.
Kean cut back into the Saints' lead, 20-19, late, and the teams traded points to 22-21, but Harrell put down another kill to spark the final three points the Saints needed for the win.
Safley got up for a solo block to end the match for the win.
Safley led the team with 19 kills, as four Saints reached double-digit kills. Olson tallied 13, while Harrell and Perkins added 12 and 10, respectively. Harrell added 10 digs, as well, for the double-double, while Zanelotti tallied 45 assists.
The Saints will return to action on Saturday, February 15 in a tri-match with Rutgers University-Newark and Misericordia University. Marymount will begin the day against Rugers-Newark, set for 1 p.m.
