ARLINGTON, Va - The Marymount University men's Lacrosse team took on the Tigers of DePauw University Wednesday evening under the lights at Long Bridge Park, falling short, 11-5. 

After the opening faceoff, the Tigers notched two goals before the five-minute mark and built it up to a 4-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. 

However, the second quarter gave the Saints two man-up opportunities that translated into a pair of finishes to spark some offense. On the first, senior Sean Friedman found fellow senior Matthew Ebert to put the Saints on the board. The second of the two opportunities was thanks to junior Michael Burns. Senior Rex Rizzuti fed a wide-open Burns on the crease to cut the lead back to 4. 

Not even a minute later, freshman Troy Tangolics added a goal for the home side, getting the Saints within three, 6-3.

The second half was a defensive battle, seeing only five goals total, four more for the Tigers, as well as Burns' second of the night. 

Senior goalkeeper Grey Clarkson was between the pipes for all 60 minutes of play, facing 24 shots and making 13 saves, one of which included a 1-on-1 save on the crease in the second quarter to keep the Tigers' lead to just two. 

The Saints face off against Wesley College this Saturday, March 30 for their first-ever Atlantic East Conference showdown. Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m., at Long Bridge Park.
