Box Score ARLINGTON, Va. – The Marymount women's soccer team gave up three goals in the first half and couldn't recover, falling 3-0 at Long Bridge to Frostburg State University in the Capital Athletic Conference matchup and Senior Day.
Prior to the match, the Saints honored the career of senior Carolyn Lilly, a four-year student-athlete of the women's soccer program.
The first half was the Bobcats game, putting away three goals before the half while keeping the Saints from getting off a shot.
After regrouping at the half, the Saints were the first to get off a shot in the restart, seeing sophomore Karen Reyes blast a shot on target. With a new keeper in net for FSU, the freshman was put to work early making her first save.
Junior goalkeeper Sydney Sherman locked in for the final 45 minutes, making four more saves to come through with nine for the day, while Reyes ripped off another shot on target.
Unfortunately, the offense wouldn't produce for MU, as the score held at 3-0 at the final whistle.
The women conclude their home slate for the 2017 season on Wednesday, October 18, hosting Southern Virginia University for another CAC tilt. First touch is set for 7 p.m., at Long Bridge Park.
