ARLINGTON, Va. – The Marymount men's soccer team hosted Frostburg State University on Saturday night for Senior Day but couldn't overcome two second-half goals, dropping a 2-0 decision in the Capital Athletic Conference matchup. 

Prior to the match, the Saints recognized four-year student-athlete Nick Hars, a defender for the men's soccer program. 

A physical match that saw 53 fouls and 11 yellow cards had the score knotted at 0-0 through the first 45 minutes of play. But it didn't go without a battle, as 10 total shots were taken off in the half, four by the Saints. 

The first shot on target was by freshman Levis Lopez, getting the starting nod on Saturday up front with junior Sebastian Hendi. Taking a rip, the ball was pulled in by freshman Bobcat keeper Juan Bofill. 

The attempts went back and forth throughout the match, while sophomore keeper John Valcicak made back-to-back saves midway through the first half to hold the scoring draught. 

Following the halftime break, a huge defensive save by sophomore defender Michael Ku-Dipietro kept the score even. 

However, a few minutes later the Bobcats put away what would turn out to be the game-winning finish in the 63rd minute. Seven minutes later, they sealed it up with the second and final goal of the game. 

Valcicak tightened up in the final 20 minutes, keeping FSU from extending its lead with three more saves, but the offense for MU couldn't find the back of the net. 

The Saints will head on the road for the next two matches, heading to Southern Virginia University this Wednesday, October 18 for another CAC tilt. Start time is set for 7 p.m.
