WESTMINISTER, Md. — The Marymount (Va.) University women's soccer team hit the road for the first time this season taking on an undefeated squad in McDaniel College, dropping a 5-0 decision to snap a three-game win streak. 

The Saints were able to keep the Green Terror scoreless in the first 25 minutes of the matchup before they were able to sneak one past senior goal keeper April Westmark.

The MU defense continued to put up a fight, but McDaniel's offense proved to be too much. The Green Terror registered their second goal of the game with just under two minutes remaining in the first half to carry a 2-0 advantage into the break.

McDaniel continued to press on offense putting a third goal past Westmark early in the second half. Marymount decided to make a defensive change, moving junior Sydney Schultz into the cage for the Saints for the remaining 27 minutes. Westmark notched 53 minutes between the pipes, turning away two shots.

The second half continued to be a test for the Marymount defense. Schultz turned away two shots before McDaniel managed to find the back of the net for the fourth time of the night. The Saints were able to keep the Green Terror off of the scoreboard until the final second of the game when McDaniel's Katie Kirschenmann launched a last-ditch effort at the horn.

The women will continue on the road to face Hood College in Frederick, Maryland on Saturday, September 17. First touch is set for 3 p.m.
