FROSTBURG, Md. – The Marymount (Va.) University women's soccer team held strong through the first half on Saturday night, but three second-half goals by Frostburg State University pushed a 3-0 decision in Capital Athletic Conference action on the road. 

The Saints were able to find some early offense in the match, firing off the first shot in the seventh minute from the foot of freshman Karen Reyes, however, the attempt pushed wide. 

On the other end, junior goalkeeper Sydney Schultz put up a wall in the net registering her first of four saves of the half a few minutes later to keep the Bobcats off the scoreboard. 

Several shots were gotten off on both ends, including another by Reyes and one by freshman Gretel Bonilla, but the match would go to the break scoreless. 

Eight minutes into the restart, FSU managed to get one past Schultz to take the first advantage of the game. A few minutes later, it tacked on another to push a 2-0 lead. The Saints didn't back down, with Reyes getting off another shot that soared wide and senior Chloe McAuliffe lacing one on target. Unfortunately, none of the attempts the rest of the match would make it into the back of the net for MU. 

In the 87th minute, the Bobcats added an insurance goal to take the 3-0 decision. 

Schultz tended the net for the full 90 minutes, pulling in nine saves. 

The women will return home for their final conference game of the regular season on Wednesday, October 26, hosting No. 15 Christopher Newport University. First touch is set for 4 p.m., at Long Bridge Park.
