Box Score Newark, N.J. – The Marymount men's volleyball team made its first post-season appearance in program history on Friday night, falling in straight sets to Stevenson (22-25, 20-25, 17-25). Graham Clark collected All-Tournament honors – smacking a team-best ten kills on just 18 swings for a .444 hitting percentage.
The Saints finish the 2015 season with a 14-20 overall record and a 5-7 mark in league play.
Neither team posted sterling performances in the lengthy opening set, with the Mustangs narrowing outlasting Marymount, 25-22.
It was the second set that saw the both offenses come to life. Stevenson outhit the Saints .379 to .237 – again edging Marymount marginally, 25-20.
With the 2-0 advantage, the Mustangs pocketed what momentum they had and rounded out the sweep with a 25-17 third set.
TJ Wiechecki and Albert Johannson supplemented Clark's potent offense, registering nine and eight kills, respectively. Erich Bratke polished off his stellar rookie campaign with 27 assists, while Tomasz Ksiazkiewicz collected three block assists to cap the defensive effort.
Stevenson will take on Rutgers-Newark in the CVC Championship match Saturday afternoon at 5:00 p.m.
