Box Score Arlington, Va. – The Marymount men's volleyball team made quick work of visiting Cairn on Friday night, downing the Highlanders 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-18) to improve to 3-5 in league play. The Saints climb to 11-16 on the season with the win.
Marymount vastly outhit Cairn throughout the match, posting an impressive .357 team hitting percentage on the night. Graham Clark and TJ Wiechecki each registered stellar outings, hitting .778 and .700, respectively, in the effort. Clark smacked eight kills as Wiechecki followed with seven. Connor Choate collected seven as well, while Albert Johannson chipped in six.
Erich Bratke posted 26 assists on the night. While Jordan Pawlicki held down the defense with a match-high ten digs, the Saints registered eight team blocks to completely stifle the Highlanders attack. Clark and Johannson hauled in two rejections apiece in the three-set tilt, while Tomasz Ksiazkiewicz posted four denials to lead all players.
Choate had the hot hand behind the line, adding three aces to his stat line to round out the offense.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Sacred Heart for a 7 p.m. showdown.
