Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's men's volleyball team earned another Continental Volleyball Conference five set thriller with a 3-2 (22-25, 25-19, 26-28, 25-20, 15-13) victory over visiting Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday night.  The Saints improve to 4-8 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Bryce Ernsberger led the Saints with 26 kills to go with 12 digs for a double-double while Tomasz Ksiazkiewicz added 18 kills.  Bronson Summer-Torres also posted a double-double with a match-high 57 assists and 10 digs while Chris Lionette chipped in another digs as well.

The back-and-forth fifth set saw four ties and three lead changes throughout the race to 15.  Eastern Mennonite (5-9, 1-4 CVC) opened the frame on a 3-0 lead to force a Marymount timeout and pushed its advantage to 5-1.  The Saints rallied from there, slowly chipping away at the EMU lead to force a tie at 10-10 and take the lead at 11-10.  With both sides keeping pace the rest of the way, Marymount broke open a 13-13 tie with a huge Brett Refner kill to reach match point and a double block from Refner and Ksiazkiewicz to put the mach away.

Marymount outhit the Royals in each set it one while swinging at a .234 clip on the night.  The Saints ran away with the second and fourth frames while giving EMU fits in the first and third in a 28-26 marathon.

Quentin Moore led Eastern Mennonite with 26 kills.

Marymount returns to action over the weekend at the 10th Annual York College Men's Volleyball Classic in Queens, N.Y. The Saints take on New Jersey City and the host Cardinals on Friday before battling Lasell and NYU-Poly on Saturday.
