Box Score Frostburg, Md. – In its last weekend match this season, the Marymount men's soccer team failed to solve CAC rival Frostburg State. The Bobcats pressured consistently throughout the contest, downing the Saints with a score in each period. With the loss, the Blue and White drop to 3-14 on the season and 1-7 in conference action.
The Bobcats noticeably outshot the Saints – likely a result of the host's remarkable ability to maintain possession. Hendrik de Wit struck first for Frostburg State, sending a chip past Marymount keeper Logan Cropper in the 33rd minute.
The Bobcats would tow the 1-0 advantage into the break and well into the second half. It was not until the 79th minute that the host team added its insurance goal – a flurry off the foot of Mitchell Muise.
The Saints, having mounted more offense in the second half than the first, still failed to respond to the Bobcats' final flurry, as the 2-0 deficit held until the final horn.
Marymount caps off its 2014 campaign this Wednesday as it travels south to face CAC heavyweight Christopher Newport. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
