Box Score St. Mary's City, Md. – The Saints played almost 85 minutes of scoreless soccer on Sunday afternoon before St. Mary's snuck in what would be the game-winning strike at the 84:22 mark. Marymount continues to improve its defensive play, though the lone tally by the Seahawks sinks the squad to 3-10 on the year and 1-3 in CAC action.
Logan Cropper, once again, poured in a solid effort for the Saints in net, collecting eight saves against the consistent St. Mary's attack.
The lone goal against the junior keeper came from Alessandro Burlew, who used a bit of luck to lift the Seahawks past the Saints. The striker unleashed a shot in that 84th minute, denied by the Marymount backline, but was fortunate enough to collect his own rebound and make the most of his second chance.
Tristan Munoz and Shawn Morrow led the Marymount offense, combining for five of the Saints' seven total shots.
Marymount returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to first-place CAC contender Salisbury. Match time is set for 7 p.m. in Salisbury, Md.
