Box Score 2 ARLINGTON, Pa. -- Marymount University women's softball team stayed home this sunny Wednesday to take on McDaniel College. The double header led to two losses for the Saints.
MCDANIEL 6 MARYMOUNT 5
- Gracie Himmelman led the charge offensively, going 2-for-4 with a double, 2 RBI, a walk, and a stolen base while scoring a run in a standout all-around performance
- Haylee Carpenter helped spark the lineup from the two spot, contributing to the teams aggressive baserunning effort as Marymount swiped 8 total bases
- Haley Greer stayed active in the heart of the order, helping keep pressure on the defense during Marymounts early scoring innings
- Kaylee Atkins provided key production in the middle of the lineup, working tough at-bats and contributing to run-scoring opportunities
- Samantha Richtol handled things behind the plate while helping guide the pitching staff through all seven innings
- Grace Gilbert added depth to the offense and helped extend innings as part of Marymounts 12-hit performance
- Valeria Gutierrez De Oliveira contributed defensively in the infield while supporting the lineups consistent offensive pressure
- Mady Archer played a key role in the outfield and on the bases, adding to the teams speed and defensive coverage
- Ashleigh Mannion helped round out the lineup and contributed to the teams ability to keep innings alive offensively
- Emma McCormack went the distance in the circle, pitching all 7 innings and battling through adversity while recording multiple strikeouts
- Marymount totaled 12 hits and 5 runs, highlighted by a big three-run third inning and an aggressive approach on the bases with 8 stolen bases
MCDANIEL 13 MARYMOUNT 5
- Gracie Himmelman set the tone early, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and consistently putting the ball in play to spark Marymounts offense.
- Haylee Carpenter showed strong plate discipline, drawing two walks and scoring a run while adding defensive work at second base.
- Haley Greer handled things behind the plate with five putouts, anchoring the defense despite a tough day offensively.
- Kaylee Atkins contributed in the middle of the lineup, helping drive in a run while holding things down defensively at first.
- Bailey Demusz battled both at the plate and in the circle, contributing offensively while taking on the bulk of the pitching workload.
- Grace Gilbert added depth in the lineup, helping keep pressure on the defense throughout her at-bats.
- Ashleigh Mannion provided support in the outfield and lineup, contributing to Marymounts early offensive push.
- Tara Corcoran played a steady role at third base, helping defensively while adding opportunities at the plate.
- Mady Archer worked in the outfield and lineup, contributing to Marymounts overall effort across innings.
- Morgan Maslock added innings in the circle and helped round out the pitching effort for Marymount.
