TYSONS, Va. - Marymount baseball won their ninth straight on Tuesday evening, taking down the Blazers of Hood College by a final tally of 11-4.
The Saints improve to 25-5 overall on the season after the non-conference win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jonathan McMath got the scoring rolling for the Saints, punching an RBI single in the bottom of the first to score Bobby Leitzel. Alec Reilly followed it up with an RBI single up the middle to push the score to 2-0.
- Leitzel knocked an RBI single in the bottom of the second to score Jordan Dickson in the bottom of the second the keep the offensive momentum going. Ryan Cuadros then knocked a two-run double to give the Saints a 5-0 cushion.
- The Blazers plated a single run in both the third and fourth innings, but starter Ryan Mariani managed the damage to keep the Saints on top.
- Marymount put together a six-run bottom of the seventh to take a commanding lead, highlighted by a two-run single from Leitzel.
- Leitzel went 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI and three runs.
- Cuadros knocked three hits with a double, driving in a pair of RBI.
- Reilly had a hit with an RBI.
- Dickson drove in a run with a hit.
- Mariani earned his third win on the mound, going 7.0 strong with three strikeouts.
- Kyle Lewis pitched a scoreless inning of relief with a strikeout.
- Coleman Grehawick closed the door in the ninth, striking out one.

- The Saints will be back in action tomorrow evening, hosting Mary Washington at 6 PM at Capital One Park.
- They travel to Centenary this weekend for a three-game set with the Cyclones starting on Friday.
