Baseball Completes Sweep Over Lycoming; Saints Stay Undefeated

TYSONS, Va. - Marymount baseball moved to 5-0 on the season after finishing out a three-game sweep over the Warriors of Lycoming on Sunday afternoon in double header fashion.

GAME ONE
  • Braeden Lencz pushed his record to 2-0 on the young season after hurling another strong start in game one. The sophomore lefty threw 6.1 innings of one-run ball while striking out five, issuing no walks. 
  • Jordan Dickson was the difference maker, punching a two-RBI double in the bottom of the fourth frame, scoring Jordan Hayes and Jonathan McMath.
  • Kevin Knoess knocked in a run in the game.
  • Bobby Leitzel, Andrew Schaeb, and Robert Moffett each collected a hit.
  • Kyle Lewis earned his first win of the season, shutting the door with the tying run on second with a strikeout. 
GAME TWO
  • Schaeb was the story in game two, driving in three runs alongside his pair of doubles with three runs scored.
  • Parker Casselberry went 6.0 strong innings, earning his first win of the season, allowing just one earned run and punching out three Warriors.
  • Ryan Cuadros went 2-3 with a pair of RBI and three runs scored.
  • Kevin Knoess collected a pair of hits and two RBI.
  • Daniel Fernandez went 2-for-4 at the dish with a run scored.
  • Quincy Via knocked two hits after pinch hitting in the middle innings.
  • Ryan Wright had a hit with two scored runs. 
  • Dickson and Kaleikaumaka Grebin each collected an RBI via the sacrifice fly.
  • Michael Arce and Ben Riddick finished out the game on the mound, each punching out two. 
UP NEXT
  • The Saints will travel to Stevenson on Wednesday, with first pitch slated for 2:30 PM.
  • They will then head to Florida for the RussMatt Invitational, playing six games across five days.
