Before Marymount: Lettered in baseball and basketball at W.T. Woodson High School. Was selected MVP and First-Team All-Conference his senior season, First-Team All-Conference junior season, MVP All-Region senior season, and First-Team All-Region senior season. He was an All-MET Honorable Mention, batted .490 during his senior year and held a 2.11 ERA during his junior season. Was also named to the All-Defensive Team his junior and senior seasons in basketball.

Personal: Intends to major in Criminal Justice. He is the son of Frank and Cheryl Lencz and has three siblings: Stephen, Brianna, and Alayna. His uncle Joe Westfall played collegiate baseball at the University of Minnesota and his brother Stephen currently plays at ODAC school Shenandoah University.
