PIKESVILLE, Md. - Marymount baseball remains undefeated after picking up their first road win of the season at Stevenson on Tuesday afternoon, 7-3.

The Saints improve to 6-0 on the young season ahead of their annual trip to Florida.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Ryan Mariani, in his first start for Marymount, picked up the win on the mound. He went 6.0 strong innings of work with six punchouts, allowing just a pair of earned runs.
• After a scoreless first four innings of play, the Saints broke through in the top of the fifth with an RBI single from Quincy Via, scoring Jonathan McMath who tripled earlier in the frame. 
• The Saints tacked on two more in the same inning with a two-RBI triple off the bat of Bobby Leitzel. The senior improved his average to .308 in the early going of the year.
• Alec Reilly knocked his first home run of the season in the top of the sixth to extend the Saints' lead.
• The Mustangs put themselves within one after scoring three in the bottom of the seventh.
• Marymount put up some insurance in the top of the eighth, starting out with an RBI single from Ryan Cuadros, scoring Andrew Schaeb who led off the frame with a single.
• Kevin Knoess knocked in Cuadros and Reilly, who continued his strong day at the plate with a single, to give the Saints a three-run cushion.
• Kyle Lewis shut the door, pitching 2.2 innings out of the pen, allowing no runs with a strikeout to notch his second save of the season.
