ARLINGTON, Va. - With Marymount baseball's 11th season on deck, Head Coach Mike Cassidy has announced the Saints' All-Decade Team after the program's first 10 seasons of play.
Marymount has found success early in their history as a full-time program, bringing in a conference championship alongside many competitive seasons and postseason appearances. Notching their most wins in program history in the 2022 season with 29, the Saints continue to build on success in search for yet another NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Regional appearance.

Below is a brief overlook of each member of the All-Decade roster:
Ryan Bergenhagen, Pitcher, 2018-21:
Bergenhagen came to the Saints from Chesterfield, Va., and was a staple in the Marymount rotation throughout his tenure. Compiling a career record of 15-6, his best season came in 2019 where he sported a 3.97 ERA with three complete games, one shutout, while punching out 58 total batters. He was named the Atlantic East Pitcher of the Year in 2021.
Collin Bazemore, Pitcher, 2015-18:
Bazemore, coming to Marymount from Mechanicsville, Va., pitched four full years for the Saints, never throwing less than 40 innings in a season. Starting 37 games, he punched out 203 batters in his career, the most all-time by a pitcher. He is top-five in many statistical categories for Marymount's history, leading in total innings pitched in a career (207.0) and single season strikeouts (66).
Conner Hall, INF/P, 2016-19:
One of the most rounded-out two-way players in Marymount baseball history, Hall was dominant both at the plate and on the mound. He earned various accolades throughout his career, including All-Conference (CAC and AEC), All-Region (ABCA/Rawlings), and All-State (VaSID). He finished his career with a .305 batting average (tied for ninth all-time), while knocking 11 home runs and collecting 104 RBI (second all-time). He is the career record holder in saves for the Saints at 13 while posting a 10.20 K/9 (good for first all-time). He remains a part of the Saints program as an assistant coach.
Dylan Gerdts, P, 2015-18:
Gerdts came to the Saints from Haymarket, Va. And pitched 200.2 innings across his career (second all-time) with 33 games started (second all-time). He sits fourth all-time in strikeouts across his career (129), while posting an ERA of 4.53 (fourth all-time). He pitched three complete games during his career, with a shutout in the mix.
Kenny Sysysn, P, 2017-22:
A tenured member of the Marymount program, Sysyn leads the Saints all-time in career wins with 16, while also being tied for the top spot in complete games at five. He struck out 181 batters across his stint, good for second all-time, with a K/9 posting of 8.59 (fourth all-time). He was a member of the 2021 AEC Championship squad.
Drew Mead, P, 2018-22:
Yet another member of the 2021 AEC Championship team, Mead was a staple in the Saints rotation throughout his career. Posting 192.0 innings pitched (third all-time), Mead notched 179 strikeouts, good for third all-time. He had a 12.13 K/9 in the 2020 season, good for third all-time in a single season, while putting up a career K/9 at 8.39 (fifth all-time).
Alex Lemery, INF, 2019-22:
One of the more polished hitters in Marymount history, Lemery has found himself across the Saints record book. Earning multiple honors during his career, highlighted by AEC Co-Player of the Year (2021) and First Team All-Region V (D3baseball.com, 2022), he helped lead the Saints to earn their first conference championship in 2021. He is second all-time in career home runs (16), second all-time in career slugging percentage (.585), and fourth all-time in RBI (92).
Bobby Leitzel, INF, 2020-21, 23-Present:
Our first current member of the Saints program, Bobby Leitzel has made a name for himself as the shortstop and leadoff man for MU. Currently second all-time in career batting average at .351, he was a member of the 2021 AEC Championship team, where he earned Tournament MVP honors. He will look to continue building his name up higher in the Marymount record book.
Brandon Savage, 1B, 2014-17:
A founding member of the Marymount baseball program, Savage made a name for himself in the team's initial stages. Notching a career batting average of .304, he knocked nine home runs and collected 71 RBI, both in the top ten all-time. He holds the single season home run record with eight in 2017. His name is all over the Marymount record book and helped establish Marymount as a contender in the regional baseball sphere.
Ryan Maylie, C, 2019-23:
One of the most consistent backstops for the Saints during their inaugural 10 years. A member of the 2021 AEC Championship team, he posted a career .306 batting average, good for a tie at seventh. He powered eight home runs during his career and slugged at a .442 clip (seventh all-time). He was a two-time member of the AEC All-Conference Team.
Bill Wojcik, DH, 2018-21:
A force at the plate during his career, Wojcik is atop of many categories for Marymount baseball. First all-time for career batting average at .380, he was named VaSID Player of the Year after the 2020 season, while earning All-AEC Second Team in 2021. He finished his career with 11 home runs, good for fourth all-time.
Luke Tyree, OF, 2016-19:
Tyree was one of the most dominant outfielders in Marymount history, earning multiple honors for his performances, including ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Second Team, VaSID All-State First Team, and All-AEC First Team. He leads Marymount history in multiple categories, including at bats (581), runs (135), hits (192), triples (16), home runs (19), RBI (107), and total bases (317).
Lorenzo Calderon, OF, 2014-17:
Another founding member of the Marymount program, Calderon is one of the premier speedsters for the Saints. Alongside being in the top 10 in multiple hitting categories, namely hits (134), triples (3) and doubles (26), he is second all-time with stolen bags at 62. He holds the single season stolen base record with 27 in 2016.
Jordan Dickson, OF, 2020-Present:
Another current member of the team, Dickson's middle name is "consistency." Currently top 10 in multiple hitting statistics, he has been named to the Atlantic East Second Team and D3baseball.com All Region Team. He currently sits fifth all-time with a career .328 batting average, and second all-time in on base percentage at .434. He was a member of the 2021 Atlantic East Championship squad.
Bryce Smith, UTL, 2019-23:
Smith put together an illustrious career for Marymount during his time with the Saints. He remains in the top ten in multiple hitting categories, including hits (136), doubles (28), home runs (13), and RBI (96). He put up his strongest season in 2022 where he slashed .385, .487, .609 with six home runs and 40 RBI.
Brandon Orbe, UTL, 2014-17:
The final member of the inaugural class for Marymount baseball, Orbe put up strong numbers in the early days of the Saints. A top ten all-time statistical leader in multiple categories, Orbe helped pave the way. He is tied for seventh all-time in home runs with nine, sixth in RBI with 72, and fourth all time in doubles at 29. He was the winning pitcher in Marymount's first-ever win.
