YORK, PA-- Marymount women's volleyball traveled to York, Pennsylvania this Saturday to play in a tri-match with York College and Cheyney University. In a 3-1 decision against York and a 3-0 decision against Cheyney, the Saints finished the day strong with two victories. 

NOTABLE

• In the match against York, Alexis Franklin contributed a total of 39 assists. She also lead the team for hitting percentage with a .600.
• Myia Jeter followed close behind, hitting at a .409 clip with 10 total kills. She also added 5 blocks.
• Sarah Pham and Alexis Franklin each had 4 blocks. 
• In the match against Cheyney, Lauryn Sims had 7 service aces and Katee Stromberg and Ava Humphries each added 5.
• Harper Wolf lead the team offensively with 6 kills. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Saints took the first set against York 25-20 with a 7 point streak and a kill from Myia Jeter. Falling short in the second set, Marymount started the third frame off with two back to back service aces from Alexis Franklin. Tying the score 24-24 with a kill by Kaitlyn Doyle, the Saints went on to take the next two points, claiming the frame 26-24. 
• Throughout the fourth set of this tightly contested match, the Spartans had the upper hand for the majority. Down by two at 23-21, Sarah Pham had a crucial service ace followed by two kills from Myia Jeter to claim victory over York 25-23 and a 3-1 decision.
• In their second match of the day, the Saints acquired 15 consecutive points in the first frame with notable kills from Harper Wolf and Ryleigh Ward and 4 service aces from Ava Humphries. The frame ended 25-6.
• In the second and third sets, Marymount kept up their momentum with strong kills from Natalie Bialecki and Katee Stromberg. Coming out on top, the Saints won the next two, 25-10 and 25-6 for a 3-0 decision against the Wolves.
