IMMACULATA, Pa. – Paced by a record-breaking performance from Ryan Brooks, the Marymount men's track and field team earned a second-place finish in the Atlantic East Championships this weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Brooks ran the 400-meter hurdles in a blistering 56.26 seconds to break the previous conference meet record of 57.84 set by Javonte' Freeman in 2019. Mhyrlito Daniel finished just behind in third place with a time of 57.94.
• Brooks also brought home gold in the 110-meter hurdles (15.58).
• Charles Walker took home gold in the high jump by going 1.80 meters.
• Daniel won the triple jump with a performance of 13.33 meters.
• In the hammer throw, Samuel Mercedes finished in second place with a toss of 30.79 meters.
• The Saints were well-represented on the podium in the long jump with Marcone Pessoa taking second (6.06 meters) and Walker taking third (5.89 meters).
• In the 4x100-meter relay, Marymount finished in second with a time of 45.69. The 4x400-meter relay team also finished in second with a school-record time of 3:34.55.
