Saints Rack Up Six Weekly Awards

HADDONFIELD, N.J.— Marymount Athletics continues to stack accolades across the spring slate, earning a sweep of weekly honors behind standout performances in flag football, women's lacrosse, and track & field.

Cara Vollmer - Flag Football Offensive Player of the Week
Leading the way, Cara Vollmer was named Flag Football Offensive Player of the Week after orchestrating a dominant weekend for the Saints. Vollmer powered Marymount to four total victories, including two in Atlantic East Conference play, throwing for 511 yards on an efficient 38-for-53 performance. The quarterback accounted for nine touchdowns through the air while averaging 127.8 passing yards per game. She added another dimension on the ground, rushing for 94 yards and four touchdowns to cap off a complete offensive showing.

Samayah Barnes - Flag Football Defensive Player of the Week
On the defensive side, Samayah Barnes earned Flag Football Defensive Player of the Week honors after anchoring a unit that fueled the Saints' 4-0 weekend. Barnes tallied 18 total flag pulls while creating havoc in coverage with four interceptions. Two of those takeaways were returned for touchdowns, and she added a pass breakup to highlight a game-changing defensive effort.

Mackenzie Morrissette - Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
In women's lacrosse, Mackenzie Morrissette secured Player of the Week recognition following a record-setting stretch in the Saints' three wins. The sophomore attacker totaled 26 points, dishing out 20 assists while adding six goals of her own. Averaging 6.67 assists per game, Morrissette served as the engine behind Marymount's offensive attack, consistently creating opportunities and elevating those around her.

Jaythan Dumas - Men's Track Athlete of the Week
On the track, Jaythan Dumas delivered a historic performance to earn Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors. Competing at the Bison Outdoor Classic, the first-year sprinter shattered program records in both the 100m and 200m events, clocking a 10.74 in each race to etch his name into the Marymount record book.

Sam Struggs - Men's Field Athlete of the Week
In the field events, Sam Struggs was named Men's Field Athlete of the Week after strong showings at the EMU Heritage Invitational. The senior placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.94 meters and added a 6.37-meter leap in the long jump, continuing to lead the Saints in the jumps category.

Ilana Hawkins - Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Rounding out the honors, Ilana Hawkins earned Women's Track Athlete of the Week recognition following a standout weekend across two meets. At the EMU Heritage Invitational, Hawkins captured first place in the 100m with a personal-best time of 12.57, ranking among the top marks in program history. She followed with an eighth-place finish in the 400m at the Bison Outdoor Classic, posting another personal best at 56.67 against Division I competition. Hawkins also recorded a 25.41 in the 200m, maintaining her position in the Marymount record book.
