WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Marymount track and field men had a strong showing on Saturday at the Gallaudet University Invitational, notching a third-place finish.
Junior David Donawa grabbed a strong qualification in the 100m dash, ultimately finishing sixth overall with a time of 11.68. Donawa also finished eighth in the 23-man field in the 200m with a time of 23.97.
In the 110m hurdles, Marymount grabbed the top three spots. Ryan Brooks finished first with a time of 15.78, Mhyrlito Daniel at second with a finish of 16.02, and Cole Valente finishing third with a time of 17.27. The same three finished in the top spots in the 400m hurdle event, Brooks at the top with a school record 56.88, Daniel at second with a finishing time of 59.28, and Valente finishing just behind with a time of 59.56.
In the men's long jump event, Krist Adofo recorded a strong third-place finish with a mark of 6.65m- also a new school record.
Charles Walker finished third in the triple jump, hitting a mark of 12.36m.
The Saints' next event will come on Saturday, Apr. 23 when they travel to Salisbury University for the Eastern Shore Challenge.
