LEWISBURG, Pa. – A small contingent of Marymount men's and women's track and field athletes competed against a strong group of athletes across the NCAA Division I, II, and III ranks on Friday and Saturday at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell University.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Deziree Conklin continues to make her mark on the record book, breaking her own school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.21. She finished 21st out of 49 competitors in the event. Her previous record was 15.62, set just a week ago.
- Conklin also competed in the 400-meter hurdles and the long jump. She ran the 400 in 1:09.12 and jumped 5.05m.
- Also competing on the women's side was Samantha Healy. She threw 11.19m in the shot put and 45.9m in the hammer throw. Her hammer toss finished 19th out of 47 competitors.
- On the men's side, three Saints competed. Ryan Brooks ran the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.79 and the 400-meter hurdles in 57.38. His 400m time ranked 13th out of 35 competitors.
- Mhyrlito Daniel also competed in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 16.60.
- Kahil Easy raced the 100-meter dash in 11.89 seconds to round out the competition.
UP NEXT
- Both teams are next set to compete in the Eastern Shore Challenge hosted by Salisbury University on Saturday, April 23.
- The program will then start to prepare for the Atlantic East Championship Meet held on the weekend of May 7-8.
