Box Score

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Marymount University women's lacrosse team went on the road for its second Atlantic East Conference victory, downing Gwynedd Mercy University, 19-6, on Wednesday night.

The Saints scored early and often, as senior Jessica Crew led the game off on a feed from junior Madison Davis with the 1-0 lead just 72 seconds into the game.

Crew scored three goals in an 8-0 run in the first nine minutes of the game, as the Saints took control quickly. Junior Eliana Cassel netted two goals in the stretch, while seniors Kelly Campbell and Bridgette Stacom and Davis each found the cage, as well.

Davis tallied three more goals in the first half, helping the Saints take a 13-3 lead into halftime. Her four goals led the way in the first, while the Saints outshot the Griffins 19-5 and led in draw controls, 12-4, at the break.

Stacom netted her third goal of the game on an assist from Campbell to open the scoring in the second half, just under five minutes into play.

Crew then got on a roll for three-straight scores, as she finished with a game-high six.

Sophomore Shea Smith and freshman Emily Peters capped the scoring for the Saints in the game.

Campbell and Crew tied for the team lead with six points, each, with Campbell netting two goals and tallying four assists. Campbell brought her career goal tally to 97, taking sole possession of No. 11 in program history.

Davis finished just behind them with five points on four goals and an assist.

Senior Holly Reik and junior Meagan Gagnon split the game in the cage. Reik made the start and earned the win, making two saves; Gagnon played the second half and tallied three saves.

The Saints will return home to Long Bridge Park for their next game on Saturday, April 6, hosting Marywood University in an Atlantic East matchup on the team's Senior Day; the game is set for 1 p.m.
